Evolving from the success of the annual USLC Software Licensing and Asset Management (SLAM) Workshops, the USLC will this year again be running the highly successful Software Licensing and Asset Management conference, as a formal CAUDIT Community of Practice.

This is a hands-on workshop and conference involving key decision makers from software procurement and category management representing a large number of Universities from across Australia and New Zealand, vendors and resellers.
The conference objectives are to showcase University initiatives and innovative approaches to licensing solutions suitable for today’s academic environment of research, teaching and administration. The challenges of software licensing continue to increase with changing client needs, increased budget pressure and a new software licensing landscape with short application lifespans, cloud services and mobile device management. The theme is collaborative software procurement through a strong community of specialists concentrating on software asset and contract management solutions
Workshop attendees will share their experiences with; and discuss trends and emerging solutions to:
- IT category management.
- Procurement strategies and outsourcing opportunities.
- Contract and software asset management solutions.
- Vendor challenges and opportunities, audits and beyond.
- Changing University structures, funding and team responsibilities.
This year, the conference will be held over 2 days, followed by a half day workshop exclusively for university delegates. This year we anticipate over 40 delegates from 25 - 30 universities across Australia and New Zealand, plus speakers from industry and software vendors to attend this event.
This year we are again using an online registration form and provider which:
