Presentation Summary
The CAUL OER Collective provides a shared OER publishing platform for participating CAUL Member institutions in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, with the aim of facilitating independent publishing by authors at participating institutions, as well as collaborative, cross-institutional publishing. This session will outline the recent impact and benefits of the Collective, illustrated by a chapter written by staff at Deakin University, A collaborative approach to integrating Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Being and Doing into Curricula with a Digital Learning Space published in <a href="https://oercollective.caul.edu.au/openedaustralasia/">Open Education Down UndOER: Australasian Case Studies</a>.

Amanda Edgar
Senior Lecturer, Digital Learning, Deakin University
Amanda Edgar is a Senior Lecturer at Deakin Unviersity, where she provides leadership on the strategic vision and execution of projects that improve learning environments for both students and staff. She has significant experience from past positions, where her innovative teaching methods and leadership have earned recognition through esteemed awards such as Vice Chancellor Awards and an AAUT Teaching Excellence Citation. Her research focuses on promoting inclusion, diversity, and innovation in higher education through digital and physical learning spaces, with the goal of enhancing student success. Danielle Johnson
Director, Library Services (Outreach & Scholarly Services), Deakin University
Danielle Johnson is Director, Library Services (Outreach and Scholarly Services) at Deakin University. She has extensive experience in library and IT roles since 2000, including digital literacy, web, service & project management, experience design, digital platforms and emerging technologies. Throughout her work life, Danielle has emphasised practical, continuous improvement to deliver exceptional experiences for university communities, and fosters collaboration, codesign, evidence-based decision making, and outcome-driven achievement.
Jane Angel
CEO, CAUL
Jane Angel is CEO of the Council of Australasian University Librarians (CAUL), the peak leadership organisation for university librarians in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people in Adelaide, South Australia, Jane is responsible for operations, engagement, advocacy, and strategy implementation aligned with the objectives of CAUL and the CAUL Board. Prior to joining CAUL in November 2022, Jane scoped and fulfilled diverse leadership roles in academic, public, special, federal, and state libraries in Australia and the UK. Jane’s career has been characterised by a curiosity to explore and grow business acumen across sectors and disciplines; as such, Jane has performed a broad span of roles, most recently as deputy director at the University of South Australia Library.
