Empowering lifelong learning with a student-first platform - THETA 2025

Business Development Manager APAC, Ellucian

Presentation Summary

Over 1 billion workers globally will need to be reskilled by 2030. This isn’t just a global challenge—it’s a call to action for all of us in Tertiary Education. The half-life of skills has shrunk dramatically, from 30 years in the 1980s to less than 5 years today. That means the expertise we rely on today will need to evolve, at a much faster rate than ever before.

Advancements for tertiary education include AI-driven lifelong learning capabilities that are focused on the skills required for future careers, matched to the learning outcomes of the classes students have/are or will take.

Join this presentation to see how the Ellucian platform is transforming the lifelong and continuing education landscape to advise students, staff and curriculum design to respond to market demands.

Ellucian Journey is a cutting-edge, AI-enabled lifelong learning platform that gives students unprecedented vision into how their learning pathways align with their career goals. The platform uses Large Language Models (LLMs) to capture learner skill progressions and recommendation engines to suggest classes that align those skills to current workforce data. Journey empowers institutions to leverage student and course data to drive continuing education and non-degree offerings ensuring you become your students' ideal lifelong learning partner, offering an expanded student experience that spans the entire career arc.
