The University of New South Wales recognised that true digital transformation required more than technical migration, it required a fundamental cultural shift. UNSW worked with Amazon Web Services and AWS Partner Digiren, to implement a comprehensive capability-building program that modernised its infrastructure and transformed IT operations. By strategically investing in people and processes, UNSW reduced its data centre footprint by 40 percent, strengthened in-house cloud capabilities and increase AWS expertise across the organisation, with teams achieving a 70 percent skill uplift and 54 percent growth in AWS proficiency.
MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard (MCDS) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have formed a strategic partnership revolutionising data management in post-secondary education by leveraging cloud and AI capabilities to modernise learning pathways and recognise prior learning at scale. AWS is the first cloud provider partnering with MortarCAPS to deliver on key national objectives, including Australia’s Productivity Roundtable focus on building a more skilled and adaptable workforce.
