Opportunistic Transformation at AUT

Abstract:

AUT’s ICT Services Directorate has been recognised over recent years as a home of digital innovation, while still delivering solid infrastructure and high levels of customer service.

In this presentation, Cliff Ashford, the Director of Software Development will lay out how they have used small, nimble teams to make inroads on notorious pain points for the university; such as calendar proliferation, multiple student and staff engagement points, lack of information availability, and research support issues.

Cliff’s talk will explain why, rather than following a grand plan, they have instead taken advantage of opportunities as they arise to solve customer problems in record time.
