Coinciding with the EDUCAUSE 2017 Conference in Philadelphia, CAUDIT organised a study tour on behalf of the Coalition of Higher Education IT Associations (CHEITA).
Twenty-seven delegates from six countries (Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales) visited nine Universities in the North-East of the United States (in Philadelphia, New York and Boston) to gather, share and discuss various aspects of Information Technology within the Higher Education landscape.
The study tour was well received by attendees, with all rating the tour as either very valuable or extremely valuable.
“I valued the time to engage with other colleagues on the tour as well as the visits. I made valuable contacts for further follow-up and discussion at the Universities we visited as well from amongst the tour group.”
“Overall a great experience; well organised and of significant value.”
Presentations, handouts and other information from the tour will be available on the CAUDIT website in coming weeks. The success of the tour is the culmination of many hours of work by Steven Wojnarowski of CAUDIT and staff from UCISA, CUCCIO and EDUCAUSE.
CAUDIT would like to thank the staff of University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Villanova University, Drexel University, New York University, Cornell Tech, Harvard University, MIT and Boston University for being such open and gracious hosts.
