CAUDIT Strategic Procurement Committee
CAUDIT is pleased to announce that Vito Forte, Chief Information Officer, Edith Cowan University, has accepted the role of Chair of the Strategic Procurement Committee for the next two years. Vito joined the sector in 2017 after serving as CIO in multiple industries, and a term as a Key Account Director at Oracle. Vito will also be heading the Microsoft Negotiation Working Group.
The 2017/2018 renewal process for Microsoft has now been completed, and focus moves to the next multi-year agreement. There are two parts to the agreement: an Enterprise Agreement, and a Premier Support Agreement (expiring in May 2018).
To keep our members informed of progress we will be using two groups:
- Microsoft Technical Working Group— with two representatives from each Australian University, nominated by the CAUDIT Primary Member Representative
- University Software Licensing Community (USLC) — to join this community of practice visit the sign up page. (Open to staff engaged in software licensing or asset management activities from CAUDIT Member organisations)
The Microsoft Negotiation Working Party will be convening shortly to kick off discussions with Microsoft. This Working Group is chaired by Vito Forte of Edith Cowan University.
