Since entering into an MoU with Enterprise Architects (now known as FromHereOn), the Reference Models have been circulated to 178 institutions world wide (including 46 in Australia and 8 in New Zealand). As part of the ongoing development of the reference models, a working group comprised of members from the CAUDIT EA Community was formed and is progressing well with activities to extend and enrich the models for ongoing use within member institutions.
The working group is Chaired by Nigel Foxwell, James Cook University, with significant contribution from community members across Australia and New Zealand and is currently focussed on building a Confluence wiki with a library of capabilities and other useful reference items and artifacts that will be used in the regular maintenance and development of the models. This work is also an important step in finalising the validation of the models and their descriptions such that an update can be published and work can progress on helping all CAUDIT members to get the most value from the models.
The working group will also be showcasing its progress in refreshing the reference models in a workshop at the ea2017 Symposium being held 20 - 22 November 2017 and hosted by Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Qld.
