About the training:
The ISACA® Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)® certification is the world-leading vendor-neutral certification designed for IT professionals in large organisations who are responsible for directing, managing and supporting the governance of enterprise IT. CGEIT® recognises a wide range of professionals for their knowledge and application of principles and practices of governance of enterprise IT. As a CGEIT certified professional, you demonstrate that you are capable of bringing governance of enterprise IT into an organisation - that you grasp the complex subject holistically, and therefore, enhance value to the enterprise.
IT systems are continually evolving to ensure competitiveness, enable reach to global markets and handle external pressures such as regulation. The governance of enterprise IT provides significant support to the board of directors and executive management.
The CGEIT® program supports increasing business demands and recognises the wide range of professionals whose knowledge and application of governance of enterprise IT principles are key to managing the forces of transition.

Who is eligible for this training
This sector training opportunity is open to all IT, library and eResearch staff from CAUDIT Member organisations. This is a unique opportunity to learn with colleagues from the higher education sector. The number of places in the training is limited and is based on first in first served. If there is sufficient interest a second course date may be offered.

Other Information and FAQs
- Is the certification exam mandatory?
The exam is optional. During registration, participants can elect to do the four-day training with or without the exam however you are not considered 'certified' without passing the exam and meeting the ISACA requirements. The exam is run directly by ISACA separate to this four-day training. - When do I receive the exam voucher and how do I book the exam?
The exam voucher is provided electronically. Once the training commences participants will receive an email from ISACA with their voucher code and instructions on how to redeem and register for their exam. - Can I hold my placement while I seek approval to attend the training?
Please note that as places are limited for this training (ensuring good opportunities for discussions with the facilitator), we are unable to hold your place in the training. Your placement is confirmed once payment (or purchase order) is received from your organisation. We highly recommend that you seek approval to participate before registering so that you are able to facilitate payment of the invoice to confirm your place in the training. - When is payment for the training required?
Due to the limited number of places in this training, your placement is only confirmed once payment is made. At the time of registration you have the option to pay via credit card or receive a tax invoice to process through your internal channels. - When will I receive the workbooks?
Workbooks will be sent out approximately two weeks prior to the commencement of the course to the address that you provided in your registration. - What if I can no longer attend the training?
If you are no longer able to attend the training you can transfer your place to an alternative participant from your organisation. Transfers can only be facilitated prior to the workbooks being issued. Notice of transfers must be sent to your CAUDIT contact no less than four weeks prior to the start of the training. CAUDIT has contracted with a registered training organisation to conduct this training and is contractually obliged to meet minimum numbers. Should your withdrawal in the training impact on CAUDIT's contractual obligations, this will be considered when processing any refund as per CAUDIT's Refund Policy terms and conditions. - Is GST applicable for participants outside of Australia?
Yes, under the Australian Taxation Office laws GST is applicable to all registrations for this training regardless of the participants/organisation location eg GST will be included in the invoice for NZ participants.
