Welcome to the Showcase

Maximising AI's Impact: How Australian Universities Utilise AI to Safeguard Against Email Borne Threats and Streamline Security Protocols

presented by Abnormal Security

Phishing-as-a-Service is now a thing. It's cheap, cloud managed and comes with support. It side-steps MFA and allows criminals into your Microsoft, Google, Apple and Github accounts. Combine this with Generative AI and now threat actors have sophisticated phishing attacks with cleverly crafted language at their fingertips.

In this Showcase, Matt Berry, Field CTO and SE from Abnormal Security will show real examples of the email threats seen first hand targeting Universities and examples of how Gen-AI is being used to further already sophisticated attacks. There will also be a discussion with representatives from Griffith University and The University of Queensland on how they have leveraged AI to address the onslaught of email borne attacks and realise efficiencies in their security operations.
