The CAUDIT Managers Program generally runs over the course of seven months and includes three group face-to-face workshop sessions, one-on-one coaching sessions, assignments, university visits, and peer networking opportunities.  In 2020 we are looking to deliver some of the program sessions online to ensure that no-one misses out.

Training and coaching is delivered by paceLEARNING and key modules include:

  • *New Leader as Coach
  • Self-Mastery
  • The Art of Influence
  • Straight Talking
  • *New Successful Meetings
  • *New Goal Mapping
  • Empowered for Success – (presentations back to the group).
  • One-on-one personalised coaching sessions
  • Meet and Greet with CIOs from host institutions
  • Peer networking at host institutions

Modules will be delivered at host universities with the exact locations determined by which universities participate in the program.  Time during the face-to-face sessions is allocated for meeting with a senior staff member (generally the CIO/Director) from the host organisation as well as networking with peers who share the same professional discipline as you.

Who should attend?

New and existing middle managers and team leaders in information technology and information resources from CAUDIT member institutions.

How many can attend?

The program is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. 

How does it work?

The Program begins with you completing the Leadership Skills Inventory individual and peer assessment tool.  This gives you are starting point to move forward with.  You will attend the face-to-face sessions and take back the newly identified skills and tools to your workplace and look for real implementation opportunities.  You have the opportunity to learn from actual application.  You will receive one-on-one coaching in between the face-to-face sessions by the course facilitator who will assist you in finding practical resolutions to the situation/s presented to you.  Throughout the program participants share situational anecdotes and provide each other with approaches and suggestions so that everyone can learn from each others experiences.

What is the cost?

The cost for the program is $4,100 including GST.  This includes training and coaching sessions, LSI 360-degree feedback tool at the beginning and end of the program, campus visits, lunches, morning and afternoon tea during the face-to-face sessions, and graduation dinner.

Please note the cost does not include travel, accommodation or any other meals not mentioned above.  Participants are required to make their way to and from the venue each day.  Where a session takes place in a participant’s home city, travel or accommodation may not be required.  However, for your budget purposes, please allow up to 6 nights’ accommodation and up to 3 return flights over the entire program (usually two metro and one regional location).  To maximise networking opportunities, CAUDIT recommends that participants stay together in a central location convenient to the host university and will provide a recommendation of a reasonably priced option once host cities are known.

This is a recommended pathway towards the CAUDIT Leadership Institute.
