South Pacific User Services Conference

SPUSC is an annual conference held in association with the Council of Australian University Directors of Information Technology. The 2010 conference will be the 22nd annual event. Every year, delegates from tertiary institutions in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific attend the event.

This year's conference will be held in the John Niland Scientia Building at the University of New South Wales.

Conference theme and topics The theme of the SPUSC 2010 conference is ‘Generation Next’. The focus on this conference is about what will tomorrow bring, what is possible, and how will it be delivered. Through a comprehensive program of presentations and workshops it will provide opportunities for delegates to learn how new technology and business process innovations can prepare them for meeting tomorrow's IT service challenges.

Possible topics include –

• What will management practice look like in tomorrow's world? • Next generation technology within the workplace • Future workspaces - spaces/ locations / computing / connectivity from everywhere to everything • Green work environment – reducing the carbon footprint • Building capability to meet demands of Generation Next • Self Service versus good old fashion customer service • Service Management and application of ITIL V2 / V3 framework • Leadership in Generation Next
