Advancing Knowledge: Pushing Boundaries

EDUCAUSE Australasia 2007 is the premier event for professionals working in higher education, managing information technologies to advance scholarship, learning, teaching and research. With the theme "Advancing Knowledge: Pushing Boundaries", this conference will explore IT, library, learning and teaching challenges in the areas of:
Knowledge creation and transfer
E-Research
Innovation
Student learning experiences
Leadership and change
Collaboration
Quality and Accountability
Professional development for the above areas
Although the context of the programme is the higher education sector, there is a need to look at other models if we are to push boundaries, so examples of applicable good practice from other industries are welcome.
Within the areas listed above (but not limited to), possible topics might include challenges for:
Knowledge management and creation, commercialization, information policy and management, IT strategy and sustainable architectures; IT security; IT shared service models; digital libraries; libraries/learning spaces of the future; governance; web systems and services; leadership for learning and teaching; central support for learning, teaching and research; building sustainable repositories; creating cross disciplinary, cross national communities of practice for e-research.
Proposals are invited that address theory, research and their application as well as those which describe innovative projects and examples of good practice are invited.
Participation is invited in the following ways: formal papers, panel discussions, workshops, vendor presentations, roundtable discussions, symposia or poster presentations. Please refer to the Proposal Guidelines for further information.
Participants can opt to have their papers refereed and are requested to indicate their preference when submitting abstracts.
