Biography
Denise Kirkpatrick is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at La Trobe University. She has worked in a number of Australian universities as an academic and in teaching and learning development. Her recent research has investigated effective design for learning with new technologies and student engagement in e-learning. She developed the award winning Mekong e-Sim, online role play. Her recent work includes the development of 'Creating Accessible Teaching and Support', a suite of projects that support staff teaching students with disabilities. She is leading the evaluation of the Carrick Institute's Resource Identification Network. Denise is the current President of ACODE.
