Biography
Robert M. Barthelmes is IBM’s Vice President of Business Consulting Services, Global Education Industry. His responsibilities include global education consulting strategy, delivery and solution development teams dedicated to the education marketplace.

Bob has more than 20 years of professional experience in the high technology industry and for the last 15 years has worked exclusively within the education industry. During that time, he has been active in IBM external affairs and government relations in United States, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

During his 15 years in the Global Education Industry, Bob has consulted around the world in the areas of student assessment, technology planning, reengineering, networking and distance learning covering both academic and administrative aspects of primary and secondary education.

Bob was featured in 1997 IBM Annual Report in recognition of his contributions to the IBM education industry solution unit. Bob holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts - School of Management and has completed the Harvard Business School - IBM Client Executive Programme. He participates on the Dean College, Board of Trustees, Hibernia College, Board of Overseers, Babson College, Technology Board of Overseers, the Centerville Elementary School and Co-Chair Site Council.
